I was listening to this feed about 15 minutes ago when an Air Transat* jet suffered a birdstrike on landing. It was a little odd to hear of such an event but it was dealt with well it seems.

(*I think)

I found some good high-resolution images of the scanner I’m getting! I don’t yet know what colour it will be but I am more confident it will be the all-black model.

I was referred to this site by a YouTube companion and it’s really good. Listening to ATC from America is really quite fascinating and, it’s put me in the mood for radio scanning on Wednesday when I get my radio! Any aviation enthusiast will enjoy listening to the radio communications.

I created this site a few weeks ago and I use it to post all my directions and information on spotting locations at Manchester. It’s an alright site with a nice banner at the top and quite a bit of writing!

I have know about SpottersWiki for a good couple of months now but only recently I have started to actually contribute information and images. So far, I have contributed 6 images and a whole article on how to get to an amazing south side spot.
SpottersWiki is a fantastic source of directional information for anybody planning a spotting trip.

This is the radio I am getting on the 27th of August. I am mainly going to use it at the airport for listening to the ATC but if I can get Liverpool Airport ATC at my house that will be entertaining.

This includes: CB radio, 10M Amateur Band, Low VHF, Band I, PMR Low Band Emergency Services, Civil Airband, Outside Broadcast, 2M Amateur Band, Marine Band, High Band, 7CM Amateur Band, PMR446 VHF Paging, UK-TV.

This morning I visited Manchester Airport. I got there at 7:15 and went to the multi-story car park. The weather was not great but the rain was off and on.
I took upwards of 80 photographs while I was there, of the terminal 2 and terminal 1 apron area. It was relatively non-stop throughout the morning aircraft-wise.
